BINTULU: Konsortium Universiti Universitas Borneo (KUUB), led by Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB), officially signed a joint declaration with the PhilippineEAGA Higher Education Institutions Consortium (PEHEIC).
This significant milestone was achieved on Aug 1 at Pullman Miri Waterfront Hotel during the 9th BIMP-Eaga Sociocultural and Education Cluster Meeting.
Representing KUUB in the signing ceremony was its founding chairman Prof Dr Shahrulrazid Sarbini, who is also UPMKB campus director, while PEHEIC was led by its Interim National Coordinator Dr Hanlie Taha.
In a statement, the KUUB secretariat of UPMKB said the signing represented a major collaboration among Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and the Philippines, with aims of advancing higher education across the region.
“This strategic partnership align perfectly with KUUB’s vision of fostering regional educational collaboration and excellence across Southeast Asia,” read the statement.
