Guided by the theme "Feeding the Future, Fostering Sustainable Food", COSAFS2026 will feature four international conferences covering key areas across the agri‑food system, including biodiversity conservation and climate‑resilient indigenous crops; sustainable utilisation, value addition, and circular bioeconomy approaches; preservation of cultural heritage and traditional knowledge; sustainable fisheries, livestock, and animal health innovations; feed, nutrition, and food safety; smart and climate‑resilient food systems; industrial and food crop production; agricultural technologies, policies, and human dimensions; as well as advances in nutraceuticals, functional foods, and their roles in promoting health and well‑being.

 

He expressed his hope that COSAFS 2026 will not only provide technical support, but also offer a more comprehensive development perspective encompassing the entire value chain, from planting and production to processing and market distribution, thereby enhancing its overall impact and attractiveness.

 

He further suggested that the congress could be held in conjunction with Bintulu’s annual Agrofest to achieve greater visibility and synergy. He believes that initiatives of this nature can help young people in Bintulu better appreciate the development potential of the agricultural sector and provide broader directions for future career pathways.

 

The organizing committee welcomes participation, sponsorship, and exhibition from relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, agribusinesses, research institutions, non‑governmental organisations, and startups. Such involvement is expected to strengthen collaboration, encourage knowledge transfer, and promote innovation toward achieving sustainable agriculture and food security.
