We extend our heartfelt congratulations and sincere thanks to Curtin University Malaysia for hosting the 1st KUUB Postgraduate by Research Colloquium 2024 from 3rd to 5th December 2024 in Miri, Sarawak.

Our gratitude goes to YB Datuk Dr. Haji Annuar Bin Rapaee, Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development (Education and Innovation), for officiating the event on behalf of YB Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak.

We are proud to have hosted 154 participants from Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, the Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar, and Singapore, all contributing to the success of this inaugural colloquium under the theme, Transforming Borneo into a Global Sustainability Axis.

A special thank you to Curtin University Malaysia for your outstanding organization and hospitality, which ensured the success of this event. We also appreciate the contributions from all KUUB member universities and participants, who helped make this event a remarkable platform for academic exchange and collaboration. Together, we have made significant strides toward realizing the vision of transforming Borneo into a global sustainability hub.
