Dear Respected SATU Members,

The SATU Presidents’ Forum’s program called the SATU Mobility Action for Regional Talents (SMART), which was established in 2016, has been further extended to the 2019 SMART 2.0 student competition. We would like to invite all students enrolled in our member universities to participate and to help make changes to our world by sharing ideas and collaborating cross-culturally. For 2019, the SATU theme is “Incorporating Social Responsibility into Our Universities: Challenges, Opportunities, and Possibilities.” This competition echoes this theme, with aims derived from the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a clear and systematic blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.

Each team can choose one of the listed goals below as their main topic.

How to provide:

l  Clean, accessible water for all

l  Clean air for all

l  Food security for all by eliminating food contamination and wastes

The main objectives are to initiate changes that can help societies to become more productive and to ensure healthier lives, while also seeking to understand and address the world’s challenges.

Please encourage your students to register online by 21^st, June.
