In conjunction with Global Recycling Day, we are pleased to announce the winners of the KitarNow School Recycling Challenge, held under the Bintulu Zero Waste Schools Challenge 2026.

This program was organised by Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak (UPMS) and Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) in cooperation with Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Bintulu.

The winners were determined based on the highest amount of recyclable materials recorded in the KitarNow app and verified through official recycling sales receipts.

1st Place – SMK Bintulu (1,986.5 kg)
2nd Place – SJK Sebiew Chinese (861 kg)
3rd Place – SMK Baru Bintulu (690 kg)
